A loan of $11,500 helps beauty professionals build profitable, sustainable businesses that support families.

Alyssa's story
I began my career as a hairstylist in 2015, and by my 4th year behind the chair I was fully booked, busy, and doing what many would consider well. Even so, I could not understand why I was covering my bills but not building real financial stability. I realized that while I knew how to make money, I did not know how to manage it, grow it, or move beyond where I was financially. At first, I thought this was a personal shortcoming, until I saw seasoned beauty professionals with decades of experience leaving the industry without financial security simply because the numbers no longer worked.
What I witnessed was never a lack of talent or effort. Beauty professionals are highly trained in their craft, but beauty school does not teach how to manage money or run a sustainable business. They are rarely taught how to separate personal and business finances, plan for taxes, manage inconsistent income, or build sustainability without burning out. That realization led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in financial management, where I intentionally adapted traditional financial principles to fit the realities of service based businesses.
As I implemented what I learned, my relationship with money changed completely. I gained confidence, clarity, and the ability to scale without fear. Over time, I began helping other beauty professionals do the same, often informally, long before Black Beauty Money Mastery officially existed.
BBMM was created to close this gap by providing financial education and business systems designed specifically for beauty professionals. This loan supports the next stage of growth by allowing BBMM to reach more people who are actively seeking this knowledge, reduce the need for continued self funding, and strengthen the infrastructure needed to serve a growing community.
I am committed to this work because I know what is possible when hard work is supported by the right systems. Beauty professionals pour so much into their clients, families, and communities, and they deserve businesses that sustain both their livelihoods and their lives.
