A loan of $25,000 helps equip a mobile ice cream business and develop training materials to begin licensing new operators.

Agustin's story
My wife Grace and I live with our four children in rural southern Iowa, where life is centered around family, community, and good food. We are a state-licensed foster and adoptive family, which keeps our home—and our hearts—full. I work as a middle school science teacher, and my wife is a nurse. A few miles down the road is a small regenerative dairy farm that originally inspired me to start my soft-serve ice cream business. I’ve always loved sharing high-quality, organic food with others, and bringing that joy into a business felt like a natural extension of who I am.
Becoming a small business owner has truly been a dream come true. I’m proud of how far this venture has come, and I’m motivated by the combination of creativity, service, and community that it brings to my life. My personal goal this year is to continue growing in a sustainable way that supports my family while also opening doors for others. I want to tighten up my systems, and begin creating opportunities for new operators to run their own Udderly Epic booths. It excites me to imagine this little idea growing into something that can uplift more families the way it has uplifted mine.
