Alba Maria and her family live in Los Bajos de Montecristi known for handicrafts made of toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua, and wood; and fine toquilla straw hats, known worldwide as "Panama hats."
Alba Maria is a mother who likes to work making and selling lunches. Monday to Saturday she advertises her daily menu on WhatsApp so her customers can choose what they want. They come to her house where she serves them, and at other times she sends orders to homes. This is how she makes her income.
