In 2009, Kiva began setting up partnerships with domestic MFIs and U.S. based entrepreneurs became a part of the Kiva community! Kiva currently has four Field Partners in the United States: ACCION Texas-Louisiana, ACCION USA, Opportunity Fund and Grameen America!

Kiva recently expanded its reach across America with Kiva City! With Kiva City, credit unions or other financial institutions partner at a local level to facilitate the loans, while community groups and civic leaders build awareness among small business owners and refer them to the program.
