Sravya was born in Hyderabad, India and spent majority of her life in Washington DC. After graduating from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Finance and Economics, Sravya joined Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Office Consulting division. She worked with large financial institutions in D.C. and New York on various operational strategy consulting projects. She is also on the Board for a local Virginia non-profit organization and enjoys using her business skills to help small businesses. It was during time at William & Mary, however, where she discovered her interest in International Development. She pursued research opportunities in India and Honduras to study poverty alleviation and the impact of microfinance on women. Sravya is passionate about finding an intersection between her consulting experience in Finance and her interest and background in International Development. Being a Kiva Fellow and obtaining first-hand ground experience will enable her to reach this goal. During her personal time, Sravya enjoys teaching, learning and performing dance.
