#KivaTrip: Face-to-face with Kenya's future leaders
July 31, 2012By: Camille Ricketts
Earlier today, we teamed up with other Kivans, educators and partners to interview nine extraordinary undergraduates at Strathmore University in Kenya. All five interviewees are using Kiva loans to pay for tuition and other school expenses!
We were so excited to speak with them and hear firsthand how Kiva funding is helping them achieve their goals. You can watch the full recording of the interview below:
We're thrilled to be bringing you first hand accounts from the field during our time in Kenya. You can follow our adventures -- including meetings with partners and borrowers -- on Twitter by searching for #KivaTrip. We'll also be posting along the way on the Kiva Blog, so stay tuned!
This post is by Buckley White and Liz Nagle, two Kiva staff members traveling to Kenya for the first time. Their mission: To give our lenders an unfiltered view of life in the field. We hope you enjoy!
