A loan of $1,700 helps to buy some clothes and accessories and sell them from home.

Samira's story

Samira is a 56-year-old Jordanian woman who doesn’t have children. She lives her life only with her retired husband. They both count on the retirement salary which is barely enough even for a small family like them.

Having no children or anyone around to help made Samira think of a way to add some income to the family. So she prepared an empty room in the house, borrowed 1,200 JD to buy some types of clothes and accessories to show them in this room and sell by promoting her products to neighbours and friends with her high communication skills.

Samira thinks that she still has the energy and power to work and be productive, and will keep working on this business to turn it into a beautiful shop.
