Emprendedora Group's story

Emprendedora is the name of this community group, which is made up of fighting women, who, for the sake of their families, look for ways to get ahead, help each other and have the desire to improve and give the best to their loved ones. They are part of the Poverty Elimination Program.
Gloria Sabina is one of the members of the group, she sells all kinds of jewelry to provide for her family. She says that despite the fact that her business is modest, it allows her to cover her family's needs, to give them everything she could not have and that they lack nothing.
She is happy for the opportunity she receives to be part of the group, since with this she will be able to invest in the business, improve herself as a person and as an entrepreneur, to continue growing as she has been doing until today.
She is asking for this loan to buy all kinds of jewelry, this, to be able to continue with her sales meeting the demand of her customers.

Emprendedora se llama este comité, formado por mujeres luchadoras que buscan la forma de salir adelante por sus familias, se ayudan las unas a las otras y tienen el deseo de poder mejorar y dar lo mejor a los suyos. Están además dentro del programa de eliminación de la pobreza. Gloria Sabina es una de las integrantes del comité, quien vende todo tipo de joyas para procurar el sustento de su familia, y comenta que, pese a que su negocio es modesto, le permite poder cubrir las necesidades de su familia, darles todo lo que ella no pudo tener y que no les falte nada. Esta contenta por la oportunidad que recibe de poder formar parte del comité, ya que con esto podrá invertir en su negocio, superarse y poder seguir creciendo como lo viene haciendo hasta hoy. Pide este préstamo para la compra de joyas de todo tipo, para poder seguir con sus ventas, y poder cumplir con la demanda de sus clientes. Obs: las niñas en la foto son hijas de las integrantes del grupo que firman este préstamo

This loan is part of the innovative “Poverty Stoplight” program developed by Fundación Paraguaya for women living in poverty. A “stoplight” measurement tool is used to help borrowers self-identify the type of poverty that affects them most (lack of income, dearth of financial opportunities, poor living conditions etc.). Borrowers rate 50 areas of their life as green (not poor), yellow (poor) or red (extremely poor). Together with their loan officer, they come up with a plan to resolve yellow and red indicators. Through this program, Fundación Paraguaya has helped lift over 30,000 Paraguayan women and their families out of poverty.
