A loan helped to buy some chicks, as well as the necessary feed for them.

Emilien's story

His name is Emilien. He is 32, married, and the father of two. The family rents a house in a rural village, where Emilien has been raising broiler chickens for over two years. His wife is a farmer, and together the couple work hard to improve the family living conditions.

Emilien would like to expand his livestock business. He decided to take out a loan at Vahatra and is requesting the help of lenders. He envisions buying a few chicks, as well as the necessary feed for them.

Once the chickens are fattened, he will sell them to the local butcher shop and reinvest the earnings to boost his capital. In the long run, Emilien has a dream to buy a milk cow to diversify his revenue sources.
