Diakaridia has his hand on the ram in the photo. He is a Malian man. He is 41 years old and married. He is the father of 9 children, 3 of which are in school.

He is very ambitious, and he raises domestic animals. He has been doing this work for 8 years. He buys and sells animals at the weekly fairs in his area.

Raising animals is profitable, and after the sale he can make earnings of 25,000F to 55,000F every 8 months. But he often has to deal with the sickness for the animals, so he loses certain animals often. He is happy to be able to finance his work.

Previous loan details

Amidou is the one with his hand raised in the photo. A Malian, he is 50 and the married father of four children (two sons and two daughters) of whom one is in school. His wife does commerce in peanuts. For 23 years, he has been raising sheep, but he is often confronted with livestock deaths and high fodder prices.

He turns to RMCR to increase his income. From his sales, he can earn a projected 60,000 francs every seven months. He is planning to have many head of cattle and to build in town.

Amidou, age 47, is Malian. He's married to a woman and the father of six children, boys and girls. The children's age ranges from 5 to 30, and one of them attends school.

In the photograph, Amidou is the one holding a ram and a goat with a rope. He is honest and courageous in his business, which consists in raising rams and goats.

His wife retails peanuts. With the profits of her business, she buys clothes and shoes.

Amidou has four years of experience in raising rams and goats. He borrowed money from the MFI to buy a ram and goat, instead of only a ram, before the loan.

He buys and sells at a large fair in the village where he lives. He foresees turning a monthly profit of XOF 15'000, to be used to provide healthcare and education to his children, and to improve his home.

He dreams of raising many rams and goats, because he is convinced that he will expand his livestock business over time.

Il exerce cette activité depuis 08 ans. Il achète et vend ses animaux dans les foires hebdomadaires de sa localité. L’activité d’élevage est rentable, après la vente elle peut avoir un bénéfice de 25 000 F à 55 000 F sur huit mois. Mais il est souvent confronté à des maladies animales qui lui font perdre certains animaux souvent. Il est content pour le financement de son activité.

This loan is part of RMCR’s solidarity group loan program. Borrowers who have successfully completed several loan cycles with the community bank program graduate to this one and access slightly larger loans in groups of 2-9 members. Group members are mutually responsible for repayments and can access voluntary savings services. Group members can use loans for any income-generating activity. Common activities are farming, raising livestock and commerce. Terms and payment frequency can vary according to borrowers’ business cycles. By supporting this loan, you’re helping borrowers access credit and support each other through the loan process.
