Victoria's story

Victoria is a 29-year-old woman from Cetireni village in the Ungheni region of Moldova. She is married and has a wonderful child that brings her many joys. Victoria's husband, Gheorghe, worked abroad in order to pay for the house where they now live.

Due to the pandemic, her husband had to return to the country. Now he works for a carpet factory. Victoria does not work and takes care of their child. All family income is based on her husband's salary.

Gheorghe, being a professional builder, started to build a new bathroom. The materials are much more expensive than her husband planned so they fail to pay for everything required. As a result, Victoria applied for a loan through Kiva to provide financial assistance to complete the construction of the bathroom. As a result, the whole family will enjoy better and more living decent conditions.
