The banc villageois, which this group is a part of, was started in January 1998. It includes women who for the most part acquired solid experience in small sales. This is their main work activity. They share values of solidarity and mutual aid.

Madame Fatoumata (who is the group representative) is married. She is 46 years old and the mother of 6 children. She works by selling fish.

This new loan will allow her to buy 10 baskets of fish every week to resell them individually at the small market in her neighborhood. The earnings will increase her savings.
